What’s inside
Three ways to practice, all with a guitar in your hands.
Jam and Chord Lab share your key and progression. Fretboard Trainer helps you find the notes across all six strings.
Jam
Solo over a band, in any mode.
Choose a home note and a mode, then press Play Loop. Recorded guitar, piano, drums and bass play underneath you at the tempo you set. The fretboard starts from the pentatonic box you already know and adds the notes that give each mode its sound.
- 7 modes plus major and minor pentatonic blues, in all 12 keys
- 7 one-tap bands, from Electric blues to Jazz trio, or mix your own chords, drums and bass
- Tempo from 60 to 150 BPM, with a metronome click when you want one
- On tablet and computer: Pentatonic + 2 notes or 3 notes per string, across the full neck or one position at a time
- Verse and chorus progressions, and saved loops for your favourite setups

Chord Lab
Know which chords belong together.
Chord Lab lays out the seven chords in your key, numbered by scale degree, so you can see why they fit. Start from four progressions, each with a plain explanation of how it moves, or build your own loop bar by bar and hear it straight away.
- Playable shapes for every chord, with the root, third and fifth colour-coded
- Triads on each group of three strings, with seventh chords available in Chords view
- Hear any chord or shape before you play it, then take the loop back to Jam

Fretboard Trainer
Learn every note on the neck.
Work around the circle of fourths or fifths, one string at a time. Four clicks count you in, then each note follows at the pace you set. On tablet and computer, learn with the fret shown, then switch to By ear and play from memory. On your phone, practise by ear.
- From half a second to 8 seconds per note
- One string, or up and down across all six
- Tap any note on the circle to start there

Phone, tablet and computer
Practice where your guitar is.
Prop your phone on a music stand, lay a tablet beside you, or open it on your computer. ChordCurrent runs in your browser, with nothing to install, and each screen gets a layout made for it.
